One of my favorites…. they seem so sweet and gentle but beware, they are not!!!
So if you ever come across one in the wild…. never, never ever get in between it and water!
They have no natural enemy’s … so they always feel safe, no matter wich other animals surround them…
The only real threat they have is their sleep…. if their internal clock fails to work right they die in their sleep because the internal organs press together the longs through wich they will sufficate.
In my hometown zoo we have 6 ladies who have lots and lots of space… so the public can watch them whilst they are outside and also inside when they are under the waters. Beeing under water watching them is very beautiful… because then you can see how agile they realy are and how fast too.
